Vernon Township Vol. Fire Department Returns To Service: The Vernon Township Vol. Fire Department in Crawford County has returned to service after an internal political dispute is settled, at least temporarily. The Meadville Tribune is reporting that the fire department's Board of Directors has removed Fire Chief John Yount and appointed a former Asst. Fire Chief, Derek Leskowak to take over. The department returned to service at about 8 pm Friday night. We will have much more on this situation on 24 Action News at 6pm .
