Voters question national election polls

Voters question national election polls: It's a victory almost no pollsters predicted.  Many voters are still surprised about Donald Trumps victory.   I thought she had it in the bag, you know, I think she did too, said local voter, Richard Wienczkownski, about Clinton's loss.    Voters in the area are left wondering how national polls were so off?    It might be those that actually, you know weren't honest about what they told the pollsters, I thought maybe it was wishful thinking, it turned out that they were correct., said voter Allan Hughes.    Joseph Morris, Director of Mercyhurst University Center for Applied Politics, is familiar with the polling process. He lead Mercyhurst University in an election poll that showed Clinton ahead as of the day before the election.    The models the pollsters employed and used to base their prediction or assumptions about voter turnout on election day were simply flawed, said Morris.    If the method used is flawed, he said, your results will also be flawed.    According to Morris a big problem was the likely voter screen they employed simply screened out too many people.    This election saw an increase in the number of people in  rural counties that traditionally don't vote and if likely voters screen out those people, that's problematic   said Morris.    President Elect Donald Trump won with  279 electoral votes to Clinton's 228.
