MaryAnn (Pavolko) Wheeler Obituary - Edder Funeral Home, Inc.: MaryAnn (Pavolko) Wheeler, 89 of Girard, passed away on Saturday March
5, 2016, surrounded by her family.
MaryAnn was born July 27, 1926 in Natrona Heights, PA., a daughter of
the late Joseph M. and Mary E. (Baronowski) Pavolko.
MaryAnn moved to the Albion area with her family as a young girl and
attended the Elk Creek High School in Wellsburg.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in
Girard, where she was active on the liturgy committee, 2nd grade CCD
Teacher for many years and was a choir member for over 50 years. She
enjoyed painting, gardening, flower gardening, canning, sewing,
crocheting and cooking for her family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons,
John J. Wheeler in 1988, Paul D. Wheeler in 2013 and a brother Joseph
S. Pavolko.
MaryAnn is survived by her husband Mark L. Wheeler, whom she married
January 25, 1947 in Platea; also by two daughters, Rosemary A. Kenoyer
(John), Barbara A. Graden (Rich); two sons, Mark A. Wheeler (Kathy),
Michael W. Wheeler; three sisters, Alice M. Bateman, Kathleen M. Owens
( Edward), Patricia A. Redman; 11 Grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren;
16 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Edder Funeral
Home, Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard. A Prayer Service will be held
there on Wednesday at 9:30AM followed by the Funeral Mass at St. John
the Evangelist Catholic Church, 101 Olin Ave., Girard at 10 AM. Rev.
William Miller will officiate.
Memorials may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church,
(Choir Fund).
Burial will be in the Hope Cemetery.
