Gail Jakobowski Obituary - Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. : Gail Marie (Huya) Jakobowski, 72, of Albion and formerly of Fairview, died Saturday, February 13, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born in Greenville, PA on April 30, 1943, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rosalie Huya. Gail graduated from Northwestern High School. She then went on The Spencer Hospital School of Nursing. Gail worked most of her career at Pleasant Ridge Manor-West, initially as an LPN, then as a Ward Clerk, retiring six years ago. She was the President of AFSCME Local 2666 for many years. She also served as a representative of the union at the state level and attended many national conventions. Gail enjoyed crocheting; her family and friends will have beautiful doilies to remember her by. She loved keeping up on current events.
