Richard Keeler Obituary - Edder Funeral Home, Inc.: Richard L. 'Dick' Keeler, AKA 'The King', 73 of West Springfield,
passed away unexpectedly on Friday January 15, 2016 at his home.
He was born January 11, 1943 in Albion, a son of the late Lawrence
and Agnes (Robinson) Keeler.
Dick was raised and educated in the Girard area attending Rice Avenue
Union HIgh School. Following high school he began working as a truck
driver for various trucking companies and later became an owner
operator, driving throughout the Eastern United States. Most recently
he had been employed as a driver for Lukjan Metal Products in Conneaut
OH., where he retired from in 2006. Following his retirement he worked
for Home Instead Senior Care as a Caregiver part time.
He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Albion. He loved
his dogs and summer vacations in Rehoboth Beach; watching the
grandkids in the sports activities and simply being with family.
He will be greatly missed by his family which include his wife,
Louise (Linn) Keeler, whom he married April 14, 1984 at St. Lawrence
Catholic Church in Albion, also by a daughter, Kristi Strickland
(Arron); two sons, David and Samuel Keeler; two step daughters, Cheryl
Wilson (Roger), Lori White (Joe); a step son, William Miles (Kara);
two sisters, Elizabeth Hunt and Susan Songer; a brother Jeffrey Keeler
(Rebecca); his grandchildren, Sarah White, Patrick White, Billy Miles,
Claire Miles, Madeline Wilson, Natalie Wilson, Joshua Keeler, Tonya
Keeler; his expected twin Strickland granddaughters; his great
granddaughter, Amelia Keeler and several nieces and nephews.
There will no public calling hours or services observed per his
request.
